A Rosignol, West Coast Berbice fisherman is now missing after the boat on which he was on capsized last evening.
According to information gathered, Suraj Dhaneshwar, also known as ‘Sonny,’ 28, of Lot 49 Railway Line, Rosignol, and the captain of the ill-fated boat went fishing yesterday morning.
The small boat is reported to have capsized aback Bush Lot Village, West Coast Berbice, and four boats with relatives are currently out at sea searching for the missing fisherman.
The captain of the fishing boat is now in police custody assisting with the investigation into Dhaneshwar’s disappearance.
