The South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC) will conduct another three-a-side small goal football tournament tomorrow at the B field tarmac in Sophia.
Participation is expected from teams emanating from the community, while Tucville, Lodge, North East La Penitence and North Ruimveldt sides are also projected to feature.
Cash incentives as well as trophies and medals donated by tournament coordinator Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell and Otto Barnwell will be at stake.
Similarly, the long serving sport enthusiast Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell, will host a two-day birthday celebration competition April 2nd and 3rd at the Vryheid’s Lust tarmac. Matches will be contested in the U14, U16 and senior sections.
Among the sponsors of the event are Ken Phillips of Antarctic Maintenance, Georgetown Deputy Mayor Alfred Mentore and Kerwayne Perry.
