(Trinidad Guardian) Christopher Thomas was sentenced to eight years hard labour after pleading guilty to robbery with violence against a male victim. Thomas, aka “Fingers”, of Buen Intento Road, appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate today.
According to police reports, the victim, of Gasparillo, reported to police that around 10 pm, on Mrch 15th he was on his premises when two men, one armed with a knife, entered and began beating him about the body. The men then proceeded to rob the victim of a quantity of cash and valuables before escaping.
An investigation was launched into the incident, resulting in the arrest of one man and the recovery of a quantity of the items which were reported stolen. Thomas was charged by Sgt. (Ag.) Ramdial of the Southern Division. Investigations are ongoing into the matter.
