Olympian, Aliyah Abrams has qualified for today’s final of the women’s 400m in Serbia where the World Indoor Athletic Championships are being staged.
Abrams clocked 51.57s yesterday in a third place finish in semi-final one to progress to the final scheduled for 19:55hrs local time.
After placing second in heat two in 52.34s to Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek (52.22s), Abrams returned to the blocks and ran a faster time to book her place in the final eight.
Meanwhile, Guyana’s other representative did not fare so well in their respective events.

Guyana’s other representative at the event, sprinter Travis Collins, is set to compete in the 60m men’s heats today from 10:45hrs local time.
