Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Thursday intercepted two envelopes which contained a quantity of cocaine at the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC).

In a brief statement, the agency said the cocaine amounted to 76 grammes.

Both envelopes were addressed to London, in the United Kingdom, CANU said.

Earlier this month, two workers of the GPOC were taken into custody following the discovery of 14 grammes of cocaine. The drugs were also intercepted in envelopes.
