The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has named a 15-man squad, captained by Keemo Paul to take on the American Cricket Society (ACS) in a 40-over encounter.
The match is booked for Everest Cricket Club on Tuesday at 10.30 hours and will be the fifth straight match for the ACS on their Goodwill tour after playing Canal No. 2, Enmore Community Centre Cricket Club, Chesney and Everest cricket clubs.
The vice-captain is Chandrapaul Hemraj while experienced campaigners, Trevon Griffith, Christopher Barnwell and Gudakesh Moti are also in the squad.
The players completing the squad are Tevin Imlach, Kevlon Anderson, Demitri Cameron, Kevin Sinclair, Kemol Savory, Anthony Adams, Ronsford Beaton, Matthew Nandu and Mavindra Dindyal.
Notably absent from the squad are fast bowlers, Nial Smith, Keon Joseph and Clinton Pestano, regular first-class captain, Leon Johnson and wicketkeeper, Anthony Bramble.
The squad will be coached by head coach, Esuan Crandon and assistant coach Ryan Hercules.
The ACS team includes a plethora of players with Guyanese roots including Trinson Carmichael, Karan Ganesh, Avin Gangadin, Akshay Homraj, Amarnauth Persaud, Emanuel Seecharran, Dominique Rikhi, Stefan Rampersaud, Yuvraj Dayal, Kevon Boodie and Randall Wilson. Former Jamaica first-class leg-spinner, Damion Jacobs and his countryman, Oraine Williams are also included. The team is under the watchful eyes of Terry Hastoo and Charlton Senior.
