Junior Sinclair’s all-round efforts helped Rose Hall Town Namilco romp to a seven-wicket win over United States-based MMZ New York on Thursday at the Rose Hall Town Community Centre Ground.
MMZ won the toss and took first strike in sunny conditions, managing 144 for seven from their 30-over quota. RHT then raced to 147 for three in 25.2 overs.
Former national youth all-rounder, Sinclair, bagged 2-32 with his off-spin while his brother, Keon Sinclair, Jeremy Sandia and Matthew Pottaya picked up a wicket each.
Cornelius Jaisingh played a pivotal innings batting at number seven with an unbeaten 43. His 45-ball innings featured six boundaries. Jaisingh added 61 for the seventh wicket with Mathew Lutchena who struck three fours and a six during his 22-ball 29. Cameos also came from Andy Mohammed (17), Ushardeva Balgobin (15) and Troy Mars (13).
With Kevin Sinclair removed leg before wicket with the first ball of the chase, Junior Sinclair and Kevlon Anderson forged a 101-run partnership to steer the hosts into safe zone.
Anderson played the anchor role with 57 not out from 67 balls, laced with five boundaries while Junior Sinclair lashed four fours and a six during his 67-ball 54.
Pestano joined Anderson when Kevin Sinclair was dismissed by Mohammed to strike two fours before being stumped by Renaldo Renee off of Lutchena for 22.
Eon Hooper then guided the team over the line with 11 not out. He struck one four and one six during his innings.
