(Trinidad Guardian) Missing Williamsville resident Roger Farrow has been found dead.
Farrow, 60, of Morne Roache Quarry Road, was last seen by his relatives on Saturday. His body was discovered not far away from his home sometime after 3 pm yesterday under a pallet at a stockpile. Based on the circumstances, relatives suspect he may have been murdered. However, they were baffled as to why someone would want to hurt him.
Farrow was a cricket umpire and also worked as a labourer with Cepep.
Relatives said he got paid on Friday. However, they don’t believe he was robbed.
His niece Marvis Farrow told reporters that her uncle lived with relatives. While on her way to work yesterday, a relative called to ask her if she saw him. Marvis last saw him on Friday. He lived in a family home but stayed downstairs the house. She said relatives told her that he was home on Saturday night because they heard him talking sometime after 11 o’clock. The following day around 11 am, a relative went to check on him and found the door unlocked. His bank book, identification card and wallet were in the house but he could not be found. She said he was reported missing yesterday (Monday) morning.
Marvis said they were going to search for him but she got a call around 3.30 pm that they found a body.
Describing him as a loving and respectable person, Marvis said her uncle did not deserve to die in that way.
Lamenting that the crime situation was really bad, she said, “This place just gone mad. He is a good man, why they kill him. They not supposed to kill him. He did not deserve that.”
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 and Gasparillo police are investigating.
