Dear Editor,
This is to voice my outrage at the behaviour meted out to a policewoman by someone to whom she was not even mandated to guard. It was his father that she was protecting, and in the performance of her duties, what did she get in return? I am shocked that his father, who once held many positions of Jurisprudence in our country, is silent. What about the Minster of Home Affairs and Police Commission-er? Have this suddenly become a political incident as a result of race? And what of the Minister of Human Services? She picks and chooses what she wants to be irate about! This is a shame and disgrace for all of Guyana. How can a man spit on a woman? Am still shaking my head in disgust as I wait for the inundation of indignation in the letter/media. Shame on all who ignores this because of race.
Sincerely,
N. Sahadeo
