The Demerara Cricket Board/Premier Insurance U15 inter-association 2022 tournament, continued with West Demerara Beating East Bank by seven wickets and East Bank defeating Upper Demerara by 38 runs.
On Wednesday at Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Demerara won the toss and batted, but were routed for 108 in 48.4 overs with Arvin Suknanan and Shaker Lall making 20 and 18 respectively as Dravid Manoha claiming 6-24.
In reply, West Demerara raced to victory in 13.2 overs but lost three wickets along the way. Josiah Lim top scored with 69 not out. Manoha supported with 17.
East Bank bounced back yesterday to win a low scoring match. Asked to bat, East Bank were bundled out for 78 in 28.4 overs at Farm Ground, with Keron Phillips taking 4-17 and Javid Chatram bagging 2-23. Sayyad Lakeram top scored with a 31-ball 21, laced with three boundaries while Shane Shivbarran (10) was the only other batsman with double figures.
Manoha bagged 5-12 while Lakeram took 4-13 to restrict Upper Demerara to just 40 in 20.5 overs.
