Cyber crime among topics at insurance institute training

The Insurance Institute of Guyana (IIG) in association with SBN Human Capital recently completed a four-day training course for insurance industry members and cyber crime was among the topics addressed.  The course covered among other topics the Basic Principles of Insurance, the Law of Contract & Agency, the various types of Insurances, the Structure of the Insurance Market including Lloyds of London, Regulation & Compliance and Claims.

Nigel Hinds Financial Services (NHFS) became the latest entity to throw financial support behind the fourth Magnum Futsal Tournament, donating an undisclosed sum yesterday during a simple presentation ceremony at the company’s Croal Street locale.

The differing voting dispositions among member countries of CARICOM in the matter of whether or not Russia should be suspended from the United Nations Human Rights Council, having regard to its current invasion of Ukraine, is a reflection of the fact that however much we in the Caribbean talk about the desirability of coordinating our respective foreign policies, that imperative will remain, at least for the foreseeable future, subsumed beneath the reality of perceived national interest.
