Bartica businessman Premnauth Persaud, 54, died yesterday after he was struck by a motorcycle.
The police today reported that Persaud of First Avenue, Bartica was standing on the parapet of the said road at around 10 pm when he was struck by motorcycle CJ 5256 ridden by 19-year-old miner Eric David. Persaud was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bartica Hospital. David and pillion rider Phebeon Stanford suffered injuries.
