A Venezuelan national was fatally stabbed during a confrontation with a fellow national on Friday night at Port Kaituma, Region One.
Dead is Felipe Galaviz, who the Guyana Police Force said was stabbed around 23.30 hrs at Oronoque, Port Kaituma, North West District (NWD), by the 19-year-old suspect.
Reports are that the suspect returned home on Friday night and met his wife and Galaviz consuming alcohol together.
An argument ensued, which led to the fatal confrontation. Galaviz was stabbed to his neck. He was rushed to the Port Kaituma Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police are currently on the hunt for the 19-year-old suspect, a Venezuelan national who fled the scene. Five persons including his wife, were taken into custody for questioning.
