Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony on Wednesday said that enough COVID-19 vaccines are available for all needed doses.
During the minister’s daily COVID-19 update, he said AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and Sinopharm vaccines are available.
“We have adequate COVID-19 vaccines and we have adequate storage…we spent a lot of money to develop storage for these vaccines…,” he said.
Anthony also noted that out of the four vaccines available, persons are mostly coming forward to take the Pfizer vaccine.
According to him, when the available batches expire, the country will quickly be resupplied with the vaccines since there are several sources.
“When they expire we actually would bring in more and as you know we have several sources where we can access vaccines. We’re still part of the COVAX AMC arrangement, plus many countries have been kind enough to donate vaccines to us through several bilateral arrangements…,” he explained.
