The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) has served notice of an eight-hour blackout tomorrow, April 24 for parts of the city, east coast and east bank.
GPL said that from 8 am to 4 pm the following areas will be affected: Tucville, South and North Ruimveldt in Georgetown; Liliendaal to Better Hope on the East Coast of Demerara and Agricola to Industrial Site on the East Bank of Demerara.
GPL said the service interruption is for maintenance of the 69 kv Substation at Sophia.
