(Trinidad Guardian) Kurt Cupid also known as Kurt David Smith, 51, a man described by police as a person of interest in several high profile criminal investigations including million-dollar robberies was killed in Longdenville on Thursday night.
Police said Cupid popularly called KC was fatally shot several times while attempting to park in the driveway of his girlfriend’s home at TomTom Street, Longdenville.
Police said at about 7 pm Cupid visited the girlfriend’s home at about 7 pm where he asked to borrow her black Kia Cerato car to meet someone at the Brentwood branch of Chuck E Cheese.
Smith returned to the home at about 7.35 pm and was shot dead while trying to park.
The girlfriend on checking saw Cupid bleeding and called for help from a relative who took him to the Chaguanas Health Facility, however, he was declared dead at about 8.42 pm.
Cupid was originally from Maraval and was charged with the 2016 $1.5 million Price Smart robbery.
