National men’s team player Jonathan Van Lange will spearhead a strong Guyana table tennis team to the III South American Youth Games scheduled to be held in Rosario, Argentina from April 28 to May 8, 2022.
The other members of the team are Krystian Sahadeo, Jasmine Billingy and Thuraia Thomas.
Guyana is expected to be represented by badminton, boxing, swimming and 3×3 basketball.
Matthew Beharry is the badminton player selected and he will be participating in the singles competition. He will be accompanied by Jonathan Mangra who will serve as coach.
The lone boxer selected is welterweight Travis Inverary and he will be accompanied by coach Seibert Blake.
The 3×3 basketballers are Carmelo Man-Son-Hing, Kimol Grimmond, Troavis Lewis and Matthis Arrindell and they will be accompanied by manager/coach Junior Hercules.
Meanwhile the Guyana Olympic Association will be holding a Press Conference today at Olympic House, Block XXX Lilendaal, East Coast Demerara from 11:00 am, to update the media and public about the Guyana delegation.
