Guyana’s Junior Jaguars U16 football team ended their UEFA Assist friendly tournament winless, losing to Lithuania 0-5 yesterday in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Guyana’s starting XI for the clash comprised: Travis Williams, Christopher Whitter, Herman Gill, Matrim Martin, Seon Cato, Kvist Paul, Gerry Burnett, Dexter Milo, Swade Edwards, Shakem Welcome, and William Escarraga.
The Junior Jaguars lost their opening match to the host nation 1-9, before suffering a similarly crushing 0-7 loss to Montenegro. Overall, Guyana ended the tournament, which was their maiden participation in a European tournament, with a 0-3 record. They conceded 21 goals and only scored once during the campaign.
