Georgetown Technical Institute (GTI) remained unbeaten in the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Tertiary League, defeating the University of Guyana (UG) 63-45 Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
Kobe Tappin netted 30 points and seven steals while Royan Shortt accumulated 22 points and seven rebounds. For UG, Shaquawn Gill scored 17 points and had 17 rebounds.
New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) downed Linden Technical Institute (LTI) 61-48. Kadeem Dover tallied 22 points, seven rebounds, while Charles Williams registered 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Earlier in the month, at the same venue, GTI defeated NATI 73-68. Shortt recorded 30 points, and 13 rebounds while Tappin added 15 points and 12 steals. For NATI, Williams bagged 29 points, and 18 rebounds.
UG downed LTI 54-47. Gill amassed 16 points, and seven rebounds while Craig Harlequin added 12 points and 14 rebounds. For LTI, Shemar Savory scored 15 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.
