Dear Editor,
The full page advertisement from Bocas Lit Fest represents the acts of generosity during the pandemic when organisers of normally paid face-to-face events went virtual. The access to Internet and electricity are privileges in these pandemic times. The technology gave access to a range of events from across the world. The recordings gave opportunities when accessed on demand, to skip past boring parts and to listen ‘back’ to interesting parts. Thanks to those organisers like Moray House Trust and others who used the technology to keep sharing, teaching and connecting. Hopefully, as things ‘open up’, people will find ways to be ‘hybrid’ and to include wider audiences.
