Government Technical Institute (GTI) and the Guyana School of Agriculture recorded wins when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) tertiary league continued Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
GTI continued its unbeaten run with an 82-78 win over Linden Technical Institute (LTI). Royan Lewis netted 25 points and had seven rebounds in the win while Rakin Mc Donald tallied 20 points and five rebounds.
Adding 16 and 11 points were Leron Thom and Kobe Tappin. For LTI, Damarcus Adams, Shemar Savory and Gaius George scored 28, 20, and 12 points respectively. Meanwhile, in a clash among debutants, the GSA bested Port Mourant Training Centre (PMTC) 96-21 in a thoroughly lopsided encounter. Jushawn Bailey scored 40 points in the rout, with Javan Rozario, Anttwaun Headley, Omar Headley, and Rasheed Lewis scoring 18, 14, 10, and 10 points respectively.
For PMTC, Michael Jordan and Shaauan Lucas scored 12 and five points each.
