Georgetown’s Chief Constable (ag) Peter Livingstone died yesterday afternoon at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Livingstone’s death came as a shock to many.
“Chief Constable Livingstone served the Council with distinction and executed his duties with diligence and commitment”, Georgetown Mayor, Ubraj Narine said of the late chief constable.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Bartica, Gifford Marshall expressed disbelief at the news of the man’s passing adding that he was saddened.
Marshall said he spoke with Livingstone yesterday morning as the Chief Constable was expected to lead a team to Bartica this weekend, but hadn’t a clue, he’d be gone before “sunset”.
Livingstone was said to be have been briefly ill leading up to his death.
