Rain washes out second day of Harpy Eagles practice match

The Guyana Harpy Eagles players wore black arm bands yesterday as a mark of respect for the passing of West Indies and fellow Eagles, Veerasammy Permaul’s mother.

However, the scheduled second day of the three-day practice match was washed out after consistent rainfall in the capital city of Georgetown, saw not a ball being bowled.

The body of Waynumattie Permaul called ‘Dataley, mother, of the left arm spinner, Permaul was found Friday buried in a shallow grave at Kilcoy, East Berbice.
