Commissioner of Police (ag), Clifton Hicken yesterday met with officials from the Child Care and Protection Agency (CPA) to discuss issues relating to children and juveniles who are in conflict with the law.
The meeting was held in the Commissioner’s Boardroom at Force Headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) in a press release said that other discussion included partnership and collaboration between the GPF and the CPA.
No other details was provided.
CPA Head, Ann Greene headed a team from the agency who participated in the meeting. She was accompanied by Managing Director of Blossom Inc, Leanna Thompson; Programme Manager of Blossom Inc, Ayo Dalgety Dean; Paediatric Surgeon at Georgetown Public Hospital, Dr. Marisa Seepersaud; Assistant Director of Children Services, Levine Gouveia and Managing Director of ChildLink, Omattie Madray.
Other ranks from the force who attended the meeting included Force Training Officer, Keithon King; Court Superintendent for Region 4C, Shavon Jupiter; Court Superintendent for Region 4A, Shellon Daniels and Head of the Strategic Planning Unit, Nicola Kendall.
