A sixty-two-year-old truck driver was yesterday airlifted to the Georgetown Public Hospital from Region 8 after being involved in an accident.
The truck that Dalip Singh was driving toppled down a hill in the North Pakaraimas on Friday last.
Police yesterday said that Singh, the driver motor lorry GAB 5892, of Shell Road Kitty, Georgetown remains hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police said at the time of the accident, 4pm on Friday, the lorry was laden with goods and fuel. The truck was travelling east along the wet Tuseneng road, made of gravel and loam and as it was driving up a steep hill it toppled.
Investigations are ongoing.
