Giving a breakdown of all oil revenues deposited into the Natural Resource Fund (NRF) to date, government yesterday made public its first notification of receipts from proceeds as per the Natural Resource Fund Act which came into effect last December.
“Pursuant to Section 33(2) of the Natural Resource Fund Act 2021, notification is hereby given of the receipts of all petroleum revenues paid into the Natural Resource Fund during the period from 01-Jan-2022 to 31-Mar-2022…,” the notice from the 25th April, 2022 Official Gazette which was laid in the National Assembly yesterday stated.
As at the end of March 2022, the Bank of Guyana had the total amount in the NRF pegged at US$719,525,975.50. Not factored in was the expected US$106 million earned from the first Unity platform lift in April.
