Jacob’s Jewellery and Pawn Shop has donated the second-place trophy yesterday for the 4th edition of the Magnum Independence Cup, which is programmed to conclude on Saturday at the National Park, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
The simple presentation took place at the company’s Pike Street, Kitty, Georgetown location. Sales Representative Jamel Semple presented the accolade to tournament organiser Edison Jefford.
North East La Penitence giant, Sparta Boss, and East Ruimveldt powerhouse, Back Circle, will clash in the final which is a rematch of the 2019 championship encounter. In the third place playoff, West Ruimveldt heavyweight, Gold is Money, will oppose dethroned champion, Bent Street.
The winner of the tournament will receive $700,000, and the championship accolade, whilst the runner-up will pocket $400,000 and the corresponding trophy. The third and fourth place finishers will pocket $200,000 and $100,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, North East La Penitence and Future Stars will face-off in the Plate Final. The winner will receive $40,000.
