This is a brief response to the May 13 edition of Mr. Allan Fenty’s Frankly Speaking entitled, “The Swami – and the woman police Sarswattie,” a comment on my letter of May 4 entitled, “Unshakable and systemic ethnic imbalance.” Mr. Fenty is a valued member of our community – a voice of conscience. One is therefore compelled to take very seriously when he speaks frankly. I can understand how insiders are blind to the evil of ethnic imbalance they consciously or unconsciously connive in perpetuating within the university community. But I hope that Mr. Fenty is not putting forward a position for the preservation of the status quo.
