The Palms Home for the Indigent is to benefit from a donation of US$1,250 from the Caribbean Council which will be administered through Food for the Poor (FFTP) Guyana.
A press release yesterday from FFTP noted that the Caribbean Council hosted President Irfaan Ali and his delegation at their Annual Reception at the House of Lords while he was in London for a three day visit.
During his visit they also organised a number of important events promoting Guyana and highlighting the opportunities for investors here.
All the proceeds of the events hosted by the Caribbean Council were donated to FFTP and it will be the Caribbean Council’s chosen charity for the next twelve months.
Thus, the sum of US$1,250 was donated to FFTP (Guyana). This donation will be utilised to provide support to the elderly and The Palms Geriatric Home as requested by the Donor.
The organisation expressed its gratitude to The Caribbean Council for the support for the elderly.
