My query as to whether Jamaica was in attendance at the Agri Investment Forum was answered via a photograph I regrettably saw afterwards of the Foreign Minister of Jamaica with President Ali at the summit captioned ‘Jamaica in the house’ (SN May 21). I do regret the inadvertent query.
The Foreign Minister is vying for the position of SG of the Commonwealth at the upcoming CHOG Meeting to be held in Rwanda in June. Was she using the opportunity to lobby nations undecided? Guyana has made its position clear, it will not abstain, but is firmly backing the incumbent.
