Dear Editor,
American lifestyles have been transforming Guyana culture for years. Whether by their music, movies or fashion industry. It has now come to drugs made in U.S.A. snacks. It’s definitely a twister for many parents hearing about the several consumptions of snacks made with drugs. The following snacks includes chips ahoy, fruity peebles, stooney patch, stooner patch and chocolate fudge brownie. According to Minister Priya Manickchand, new packaging for illicit drugs are sold to our children in various locations including at or around schools. Ordering can be as simple as contacting social media sites and delivery happens at any time named. The Ministry of Education is trying to do all they can to keep these snacks which include drugs out of the schools and severely deal with anyone caught bringing them into schools. However, parents can help by having frank, open conversations with their children about the danger of drugs, peer pressure, trying new things etc. Let us work together to shut this down!
Sincerely,
Anthony Brasse
