Tagenarine Chanderpaul ended the second day of the West Indies Championship four runs short of his second century of the season as Guyana Harpy Eagles head into day three trailing Jamaica Scorpions by 180 runs.
Resuming on 282 for six, Scorpions managed to reach 393 all out from 109.3 overs shortly before lunch. Guyana’s top order then saw them to 213 for one from 68 overs at the close of play.
Chanderpaul and Hemraj ensured Guyana did not lose a wicket before going to lunch on nine without loss and quickly added 112 for the first wicket. Hemraj was the clear aggressor of that partnership, hitting his 13th first class half century.
