A solid all-round performance from Berbice captain, Ashmini Munisar, in the Guyana Cricket Board Female Under-19 Inter-County tournament inspired her side to a 99-run win over Essequibo yesterday at Everest Cricket Club.
Reduced to 15 overs per side, Berbice won the toss and batted where they made 133 for three in their full quota. Essequibo, who played a match in the morning showed signs of fatigue but played with commendable intent but was rolled over for 34 in 12.2 overs.

Niveena Ramnauth then joined Munisar who had recently earned her maiden call up to the national senior female side and together put on 42 for third wicket with Ramnauth making 16 from 12 balls. Extras tallied 41.
Lavina Ragobeer, despite being known as a wicketkeeper, was the pick of the bowlers after taking 2-28. Qzel Sampson also took 1-20.
In the chase, Munisar returned to take 3-3 from three overs and got support from Ramnauth and Issacs who both ended with 2-2.
