The police are investigating the death of a 68-year-old man whose body was discovered in a trench on Mandela Avenue yesterday morning.
The dead man has been identified as Clive Lawrence Primus of Lot 46 D’ Urban Street, Lodge.
Reports are that the discovery was made around 07.30hrs in the vicinity of the Cevon’s Waste management building.
At the time, Primus was lying face down. A grey bicycle was also in the trench.
Primus suffered from seizures and high blood pressure.
The police said information indicated that Primus left home around 17.00 hrs on Sunday on his bicycle for an unknown location.
According to the police, Primus’ wife related that they were separated but would communicate and he would visit her from time to time.
The woman said she last saw Primus last Friday.
Primus’ body was processed and there was no visible mark of violence.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted soon.
