The trial of Naresh Baldeo, who is accused of the 2017 killing of Mohabeer Gangadeen is set to commence next Tuesday—June 14th—before Justice Brassington Reynolds at the High Court in Suddie.
The jury hearing the case was empaneled yesterday morning.
The capital indictment against Baldeo, also known as ‘Black Boy,’ is that he murdered Gangadeen on August 12th, 2017 at Potaro Backdam, Potaro River, Essequibo.
The man has pleaded not guilty to the capital indictment.
Justice Reynolds has set next Tuesday for the trial to commence.
The State’s case is being presented by Prosecutor Tiffini Lyken who will be calling just over a dozen witnesses to the stand.
Meanwhile, the accused is being represented by defence attorney Latchmi Dindyal.
