Dear Editor,
The Staff and Students of the University of Guyana School of Medicine (UGSM) are deeply saddened by the passing of the late Dr Ramsundar Doobay, Internal Medicine Specialist and former Lecturer in the School of Medicine.
Dr Doobay was admired, respected, loved and even revered by colleagues, students, patients and their caregivers. His passing is a great loss to all of us, but his legacy will live on in the achievements of all those whose lives he touched, not least the multiple generations of UGSM graduates who benefitted from his expertise, encouragement, and unique but highly effective style of teaching.
May his soul rest in peace.
