Undefeated Eastveldt, and Northern Rangers recorded contrasting victories when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior Men’s League continued last evening at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda.
The East Ruimveldt-based Eastveldt outfit defeated Camptown 1-0. A Dwayne Kellman conversion in the dying embers of the fixture in the 90th minute sealed the result.
It was somewhat of a fortuitous conversion, as a right sided cross, fell fortuitously into the path of diminutive Kellman inside the right of the six-yard area, who slammed his effort into the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Northern Rangers mauled Deaf Super Kings (DSK) 14-0. The trio of Nigel Denny, Steven Sankar, and Wendell St. Hill recorded respective hat-tricks to lead the rout.
Sankar scored in the third, 34th and 60th minute, Denny recorded conversions in the 29th, 49th and 64th, and St. Hill netted in the 10th, 70th and 72nd minute.
Kellon Blue tallied a double in the 62nd and 80th minute, while Devon Dooker, Tevin Fowler, and Tefon Daly found the back of the net in the seventh, 12th, and 47th minute respectively.
