The decomposed body of a 93-year-old man was discovered in his Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara home on Thursday.
The man has been identified as Carlton King.
Police said that King’s lifeless body was discovered around 16.10hrs on Thursday at Lot 845 Third Field, Cummings Lodge, ECD.
King lived alone in an unfinished one-flat concrete structure.
According to a police report, a neighbour said that King’s body was found in front of his door, which was partially opened.
The police were summoned and his body was examined. There were no visible marks of violence, the police said.
While foul play is not suspected, an autopsy will be done to determine how King met his demise.
