The administering of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine specially made for children ages 5 to 11 will commence on Saturday.
According to the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, over 50,000 vaccines arrived in Guyana yesterday and as such, the ministry has planned a drive-thru exercise which will facilitate the administration of the vaccine on Saturday on the tarmac at the National Culture Centre. The vaccines were donated by Spain.
The Minister reminded parents that their consent for the administration of the vaccine is required.
