The Golden Jaguars will face off with Bermuda at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora today from 16:00hrs in their second League ‘B’ matchup in the 2022/2023 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League.
It will be the fourth competitive meeting of the nations, with the Guyanese, who got their campaign off to the perfect start following a 2-1 win against Montserrat on Saturday, sporting a record of two wins, one draw, and a loss.
Guyana prevailed 1-0 in the previous encounter in June 2021. They also defeated the Bermudians 2-1 in September 2011, before contesting a 1-1 stalemate in the October return fixture. Both matches were part of the World Cup qualifiers.
The 1-0 win for the Bermudians occurred in June 2019 during an international friendly. Bermuda in their opening match of the Nations League battled to a scoreless draw against powerhouse Haiti on Saturday.
In terms of the team statistics, Guyana possesses a record of three wins [5-0 Barbados, 2-1 French Guiana, and 2-1 Montserrat], two losses [1-2 Suriname and French Guiana], and a draw [1-1 Trinidad and Tobago] in their previous six international friendlies.
Delving deeper, the Guyanese have crafted 12 goals during this period at a rate of two goals per match. Defensively, they have allowed seven concessions at a rate of 1.6 per contest, with only one clean sheet registered during this window.
On the other side, Bermuda, in their prior six fixtures, sport an unenviable record of one win [8-1 Barbados], three defeats [0-6 Suriname, 0-1 Guyana, and 1-4 Haiti], and two stalemates [1-1 Cayman Islands, and 0-0 Haiti].
Although 10 goals have been recorded during this window at a rate of 1.6 per fixture, Bermuda has failed to find the back of the net on three occasions. On the defensive end, they have conceded 13 goals at an average of 2.16 per match, with only one clean sheet recorded during this period.

Following the end of the Bermuda encounter, Guyana will turn their attention to Haiti on the 11th of June at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora, before returning to the Dominican Republic for the return encounter against the Haitians on the 14th of June.
The Guyanese ended their inaugural Nations League campaign with a record of three wins, two losses, and a draw. The Golden Jaguars defeated Aruba [4-2, 1-0], as well as Antigua and Barbuda [5-1]. However, they suffered defeats against Jamaica [0-4] and Antigua and Barbuda [1-2]. Guyana recorded a draw against Jamaica [1-1].
