Pumping money into Georgetown while rural communities are cash starved

Dear Editor,

Georgetown is some 6ft below sea level with a myriad of problems including flooding. Yet, successive Governments has seen it fit to pump money into George-town while the rural communities are cash starved. How about moving our Capital inland into the interior to mitigate against flooding? It is obvious that flooding will continue even more should sea level rise. We now have the resources to move inland. The alternative would be to decentralise development so that the rural communities benefit instead of wasteful spending on Georgetown. This will prevent the population drifting into Georgetown, compounding its problems. Time to abandon Georgetown.

Sincerely,

Sean Ori
