(Trinidad Guardian) – Three more people have lost their lives to COVID-19, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health. These latest deaths have pushed up the national death toll to 3,959 lives lost.
In its update for Saturday, 11 June, 2022, the Ministry of Health also reported that 191 people tested positive for COVID-19. At present, the number of total active cases in the country is 8,245.
As of Saturday, 147 COVID-19 patients were hospitalised—in hospital and step-down facilities.
Currently, some 713,083 people in the country are fully vaccinated, having completed either a one-dose or two-dose regimen of a COVID-19 vaccine. The Ministry says this represents some 50.9 per cent of the population.
And some 161,452 people have received their booster doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as Saturday, the Ministry’s update reports. Booster doses are additional primary doses and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
