Archibald aims to punch ticket to ‘Worlds’ at National Seniors

Emmanuel Archibald has his sights set on qualifying for the upcoming World Athletic Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA next month.

The Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) National Senior Championship was scheduled to be held last weekend and Olympian, Emanuel Archibald, was gunning for an emphatic win in the blue riband 100m event.

His goal remains the same and then some when the AAG’s flagship event is staged from June 24-26 at the National Track and Field Centre.

Archibald, 27, told this publication yesterday that he has his sights set on smashing the national record and punching his ticket to the World Athletic Championships which starts July 15 in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
