Sixty-three-year-old Teekram Singh of Jacklow, Pomeroon River died aboard the Sabanto ferry yesterday as it was preparing to cross from Supenaam to Parika.
Singh who was heading to Georgetown for dialysis treatment collapsed around 5 am and was not revived.
According to a relative when Singh collapsed it took the ambulance one hour after to arrive at the Stelling.
“We heard he collapsed and the ambulance reach one hour after. He was going to take dialysis at Georgetown”, a relative related.
The relatives said they are also disappointed that persons videoed the man and took pictures instead of helping Singh. He was discovered in an unconscious state on the ferry and persons flocked around him.
The ferry at the time had no first aid kit or medical personnel to render assistance. His wife described him as a loving father. His body is currently at the Suddie Mortuary awaiting a post- mortem examination
