Omari Glasgow is the hottest striker currently in the Golden Jaguars lineup.
Glasgow, 19, recently scored a goal for the Golden Jaguars in their 2-1 defeat of Bermuda at the National Track and Field Facility Leonora in a Concacaf Nations League encounter.
That goal was goal number six in the fledgling senior international career of Glasgow.
He had scored two goals against Monserrat in another Concacaf Nations League encounter on June 4 and will look to move closer to the nine goals scored by current record holder Deon Barnnwell.
Barnwell, now retired, registered senior senior international goals at age 18.
The former Thomas United and Guyana International player, known as `Big Merv’ was born March 28th 1969.
Barnwell, whose brother Christopher is a national cricketer, scored his first international goal in October 1985 on debut against French Guiana at 16 years, eight months at Camp Ayannganna.
On another note Jamaal Shabazz’s Golden Jaguars suffered for the worst home loss in 58 years.
The last time the Land of many Waters conceded six goals at home was in July of 1964 July when Trinidad and Tobago defeated the then British Guiana side 6-1 at the Georgetown Cricket Club, Bourda ground.
The visiting Hull City team, an English second-division side, also defeated the Guyana national team 5-0 in May of 1973.
