Elite League outfit Ann’s Grove edged Melanie 1-0 when the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Senior Men’s League continued Sunday evening at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
A moment of individual quality settled the cagey affair, as rising star Odell Gulliver made his presence felt with a first half strike in the 43rd minute.
Receiving the ball outside the centre of the penalty box, the wily Gulliver uncorked a powerful right footed strike which rifled into the back of the net to settle the outcome.
