My sentiments, expressed in my poetry, were genuine for those who died so viciously

Dear Editor,

On June 16, 1948 five sugar workers were gunned down by colonial police as they strove for better working conditions. I have had the honour to read one of my poems dedicated to the memory of the Enmore Martyrs for a number of years as a part of memorial activities implemented by GAWU/PPP. Whether my contributions were meaningful or not to those attending, my sentiments were genuine expressed in poetry. I felt for these who died so viciously. How can we ever forget not to feel?

Sincerely,

Krishna Nand Prasad
