President Irfaan Ali along with Minister of Housing and Water Collin Croal and Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority Sherwyn Greaves conducted a walkabout in South Ruimveldt on Saturday. The Office of the President said Ali made a commitment to address the issue of flooding in the communities, while adding that a team of engineers will be executing the initial assessment with the aim of improving the road network and drainage infrastructure. He also pledged to rehabilitate the Festival City Community Centre Ground and during his engagement with the youths in the community, encouraged them to sign up with the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) scholarship programme.
