As a consequence of consistent rain, the highly anticipated clash between Guyana Women and Trinidad and Tobago Women in the CG Insurance Super50 Cup Sunday was washed out.
Both teams earned two points, leaving Trinidad sitting comfortably on six points while Guyana is on two.
Today, Guyana Women will look to advance their case for a spot in the semi-final against the Leeward Islands Women.
The competition has been dominated by the defending champions, Barbados Women, with Hayley Matthews hitting the highest individual score of 99. Her teammates and twin sisters, Kycia and Kyshona Knight are the only other two batters with half-centuries.
Barbados have also dominated the bowling with Shanika Bruce leading the way with five wickets. Aaliyah Williams is in second with four wickets while Shamilia Connell and Matthews are third with three wickets.
Trinidad’s Kirbyina Alexander and Jamaica’s Stafanie Taylor have taken three wickets as well.
