Dear Editor,
It gets confusing daily. The opposition has gone to court over the President’s failure to consult with the OL on the substantive top judicial appointments. But wasn’t it the OL who said, in filing court matters on the recent appointments of two statutory commissions (Police and Integrity) that he will not meet with the President until the court defines meaningful consultation? So what has happened to that requirement? Has it been dashed for political convenience? Oh, what a tangled and confusing mess!
